Personal Finance Education
We want everybody to have the opportunity to learn about sound money management. We believe that financial wellness is just as important as physical wellness. But above all, we know that financial capability plays a critical role in financial inclusion and poverty eradication.
Financial capability is the capacity to act in one’s best financial interest. It encompasses the knowledge, attitudes and behaviours of consumers with regard to managing their resources, and understanding, selecting, and making use of financial products and services that fit their needs.
At FLI, we also believe that financial education should start as early as possible. This is why our strategy puts special emphasis on kids from as early as 3 years old. FLI’s programmes and activities in the area of personal finance education focus on the following target groups:
- Kids: Early Childhood Development (3-5 years) & Lower- and Upper Primary Schools (6-13 years)
- Minimum Wage Earners
- Employees: Financial Wellness at the Workplace
