The Financial Literacy Initiative, with support from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Government, recently revamped its website. One of the main new features the Information Hub (lnfo Hub).
The Info Hub is an online database comprising of all available financing instruments for enterprises in Namibia. It is a comprehensive, user-friendly tool with individualized search criteria. To make sure it’s always up-to-date the FLI is continuously communicating with all financial service providers in the county.
The Info Hub serves as a “one-stop-shop” to help enterprises identify appropriate financial support. It therefore is a key milestone on Namibia’s way to increase access to finance.
In order to also serve businesses without internet access an offline booklet version has been developed.
The Info Hub was officially launched on, September 20th, at the FLI house. The event was embedded in the German Weeks 2017 and was attended by Deputy Minister of Finance, a representative of the German Embassy as well as GIZ. Of course the media, FLI platform supporters and many other stakeholders. Next to some official speeches and votes of thanks a theatre play took place to showcase the need for the Info Hub in a fun and realistic way.
In addition to the launch an inventory handover to the FLI from GIZ in the form of laptops and office furniture was also done at the event.
Be sure to follow FLI’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/finlitnam for more information on where you can grab your Info Hub booklet! You can also access it on our website http://www.fli-namibia.org/infohub/
